Dont disable overheating protection when tuning

Some tuners seem to disable overheating protection when tuning cars. i am not quite sure why but a lot of the smaller companies seem to do it. i have seen this countless times when a customer comes to us to either fix a tuning issue or just get a new tune for their vehicle. This isn't necessary and should not be done because doing so risks severe damage to the vehicle. This photo shows how the tuner has disabled motor overheating protection. The top axis is vehicle speed, the left axis is coolant temperature, and the middle is the amount of power available in % In the photo below, overheating protection being disabled the outer edges of the piston has melted and some of the material from the piston has gone between the rings and piston making the rings stick resulting in low compression.
