The easiest way to see if you have any vacuum leaks on a 35d m57n2 engine. The purpose of this video is to show you how to check your vacuum system before you come for any work. Leaks on the system obviously contribute towards a lesser result.
I thought I would share this with you all since more than 75% of 335d that I see have issues. Vacuum is your number 1 priority on these engines to control boost. 1 leak anywhere compromises the entire vacuum system and everything that runs on it including turbos.
This car has had some unnessacary vacuum pipes removed as you will see in the video (egr & swirl flaps & leaking engine mounts).
On top of this your pressure converters for the turbos should be treated as a service item like a spark plug. It's a wearing part and despite many arguments with people saying they have been "tested" and they "work", upon changing them as per my advice have noticed an improvement in performance.
